1893 Chicago Worlds Fair Silk Hanky Landing of Columbus

 

This souvenir handkerchief commemorates the Landing of Columbus and was originally purchased at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893 by a member of a prominent family from Bennington, VT and Springfield, MA. This handkerchief was packed carefully away for years as you can tell by the mint condition. There are no signs of wear on this piece at all.
