Late 1930s Fur Trimmed Wool Boucle Coat & Muff

Dating between 1938 to 1940, the body of this fur trimmed coat and muff are made of rich brown wool boucle. The button front closes asymmetrically with self covered buttons and an attached self belt. Can be worn with the collar open or closed and the collar fitted tightly around the neck for warmth. Lined in brown silk as is the muff. No labels.

The condition is good. There is slight wear along the edges of the collar as well as slight shedding. In addition, the fabric covering the buttons is worn on the edges and should be recovered. The silk lining is delicate and shattered in places and should be replaced is wear is intended.
