Made and sold by L. P. Hollander & Co., Boston, this Zouave style suit would have been worn by a very dapper young Victorian boy. Both the jacket and pants are trimmed with black braid in a military style. The wool is fine and soft with minimal moth damage as can be seen on the back. No more than half a dozen small holes on the back and sleeve. Button fly with hook and eye closure at the neckline of the jacket. The jacket is lined in silk with the pants being lined in tan cotton. A wonderful and hard to find antique child's outfit!
