Fred Perlberg Dance Original Party Dress for G. Fox Bridal Salon
Soft coral colored taffeta and tulle have been used to perfection to style this delightful vintage Fred Perlberg Dance Original from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The boned and shaped bodice fits like a dream and is artfully constructed of ruched and pleated tulle that is trimmed with taffeta piping. The skirt features two layers of tulle over the taffeta lining with the outer layer being trimmed with double bands of ruched tulle outlined in taffeta piping. This trim undulates around the skirt just below hip length and forms an interesting pattern as it falls within the fold of the skirt. Very pretty indeed.
Closure with metal zipper on the side. Labeled both Fred Perlberg Dance Original and G. Fox & Co. Bridal Salon Hartford, Connecticut. The dress is in excellent condition and the only sign that it may have been worn (perhaps once) is the eye that has been hand stitched on the top just behind the zipper. No sign of what may have been attached here and this can be easily removed without notice. No rips, holes, stains or odors.
