Edwardian Broiderie Anglaise Lingerie Dress

A lovely lingerie dress of eyelet broiderie anglaise with insertions of mixed laces. The bodice features a V neckline that is edged with ivory silk ribbon and lace and outlined with a band of chemical lace that is also used as the waistband and again in the skirt. The sleeves are made with bands of insertion lace and cotton as well as eyelet. The skirt is a combination of all materials and techniques and is quite striking as is the overall effect. Back closure with hooks and eyes. Worn over a pastel slip, this would be a stunning summer dress, perfect for a game of croquet or an afternoon tea!

Overall condition is excellent with no rips, stains, odors or repairs. The only flaw that I can find is the slight wear to the ivory ribbon edging the neckline, hardly noticeable but mentioned for accuracy. There are also a couple of tiny rust type spots, again, almost not worth mentioning because they are so minimal.
