1940s Embroidered Cutwork Organdy Wedding Gown
Dating to the late 1940's this feminine vintage wedding gown has an ethereal quality to it. Made of embroidery and cutwork on ivory colored organdy over a layer of solid organdy with a sweetheart neckline and faux pearl buttons in the front. A softly scalloped peplum mimics the neckline and emulates side panniers that terminate in soft points at either side. In the back you will find a center back metal zipper. Shown over a hoop crinoline that is not included with the dress and could be worn with or without a crinoline depending on how much fullness is desired.
Overall condition is excellent. No rips, holes, stains, repairs or odors. Buttons were re sewn by hand. Will need a pressing or steaming upon arrival but ready for wear!
