1910 Bathing Beach Girl Tabacco Silk
Representing Naragansett, this lovely bathing beauty is beautifully attired in a blue and white bathing dress with black stockings and bathing shoes that lace around the ankles. Her hair is covered with a colorful red striped cap.
Produced circa 1910 by American Tobacco Company, silks such as this were given as premiums in packages of cigarettes. The colorful bits of artwork were collected and used to make decorative pillow covers or incorporated into crazy quilts of the period.
Measuring approximately 4.75" x 6.25".
